Welcome to the end of the 401
9 06 2009Hothouse: A Chapbook of Essex County Writing
Everything in Essex County sweats to survive. A county of one hundred degree tool and die plants, parched tomato fields, sweaty clubs, a simmering lake, and mile-long hothouses has been home to a number of Canadian writers. Hothouse will attempt to distill one drop of water from that sun-baked stone.
Submission Guidelines:
Hothouse is currently accepting submissions of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and
art from those who have experienced Essex County at one time or another. Send all submissions as attachments to hothouse.chapbook [at] gmail [dot] com.
In your email, please include a bio that includes your connection with Essex County (born, worked, lived, left, sweated, danced).
Editors: Melanie Janisse (Orioles in the Oranges, Guernica Editions) and Dani Couture (Good Meat, Pedlar Press).
A portion of the proceeds of the this chapbook will be donated to the Windsor Food Bank.
